What's up?

I’m Scott, a plane-loving solo creative just starting out in the advertising industry.

Having just completed my first internship, I am looking for my next opportunity to grow my skills and knowledge through another internship or the milestone that is my first full time role.

My experience so far has taught me how to take an idea pulled out of my head into a fully-fledged concept that grows to a supersized campaign by its launch day.

My favourite hobbies include plane-spotting at certain airports, finding new places in London, playing new games and watching new films as they roll into the cinema. But to balance the sitting downs in my life I also play tennis and badminton and have been running more than ever before; 5k  has become normal somehow!

I joined McCann Health in January 2022 as part of their internship program. Although I wouldn’t describe it as an internship as everyone makes you feel as if you’re part of the family! I got first-hand experience on how an ad agency runs day to day when the cameras and student tours disappear.

It started off fairly quiet as I had to work from home due to COVID19 restrictions. But that didn’t stop us interns from joining the daily creative meetings and getting to play around with briefs and throw tons of ideas at walls to see what stuck.

I got tons of experience working on B2B campaigns for multiple healthcare clients including Jansen, Johnson & Johnson and Kite. I also witnessed the office culture for the first time.

In September 2018 I started my advertising course at the University of Gloucestershire. Over three years, my creative partner and I got to work on briefs ranging from Burger King, Kopparberg and Gordons Gin to Patch Plants, BMW and The Case For Her. All while drinking too much cider and reading comic books, hence our creative team name, Dead Dragon!
